I lost all faith in the british empire after I heard about the Queens horse doping and getting away with it. Nothing will surprise me anymore.

The queen heard about the Horse Steroids that Froome was on and wanted some Human Steroids for her horses. The message just got lost in translation.

I'd heard that the horse simply ate a packed lunch that had been prepared for the Jamaican track team at the Commonwealth Games but had been misdirected during the recent baggage chaos at Gatwick airport.

That's not racist at all.

Good one, British mod.

Sorry - It was just a bit of quirky British humour.

The difficulties of the Jamaican track team with drug testing and the difficulties with the baggage system at Gatwick recently are well documented recent events.

it's the irony..............

SKY/BC narrative is that they win BECAUSE of the things they do differently...however, increasingly it appears to be IN SPITE of severe enough health issues to need an emergency drugs administration (Froome - notwithstanding his ongoing health problems of course ;)) and a sleep so disrupted it resulted in two phone calls to the Docs (Trott)....

great performances usually follow a conflation of everything going perfectly...in SKY's case they follow when everything goes wrong...I mean they must be really good....

Well said.

Well it was better said than Gillian's previous comment about Trott winning a silver medal in the pursuit, but it does draw a very large conclusion based on a single event relating to Trott.

I doubt there is anyone left to defend Froome. The sooner he is out of the sport the better for everyone. That said, blaming Froome's lies on Laura Trott suggests a severe lack of judgement

So you think that a night of interrupted sleep would not affect performance after Sky 'bleating' about how they were going to do all the little things well, pillow cases being an important element to all this.....

Sky spent so much energy telling anyone who would listen that they were going to do all the small but extremely important things well down to the last detail.

Sleep not an important part of an athletes preparation...since when?
