I'm going to go with Pinot for this, FDJ will do ok in the TTT and he has a good sprint compared to some of the GC contenders.

I think Kreuziger also has a good chance here, and my darkhorse is Mads Pedersen (his form needs to be better than the opening weekend though).

Somehow Alaphilippe looks out of place between all those GT contenders. :D

Interesting, old school race. Reminds me a lot of the 2011-edition which, for some reason, I remember fondly altho looking at the results again, it didn't look like that good of a race. I applaud them for going in a different direction compared to the many last year so it isn't P_N v.2 in better conditions.

No clue to who will win, but the murito stage do look good. Still not a fan of the opening TTT, would rather see one a stage like the one to Pomerance as the opening one.

It's ridiculous that they keep including two TTs in a seven day stace race.

I think it will be a battle between Roglic and Alaphilippe.

tweeted about same, not sure how you can throw in both a TTT and an ITT, TTT is long enough for a bad team to lose a bit of time

It's raining here, very likely the same along the coast and being that the first rain in circa 40 days the road will be like soap, I know very well the road because I used to go on vacation in the hotel next to the finish line and with rain there is always a crashfest for bike and motos there, imagine if you add the effect of the long lack of rain.
I won't be surprised from a route change or even cancellation of the stage in case of wet road.

I like the route very much. Especially that the stage with MTF is the second one and only one, which means, if the hilly guys don't drop good classics riders with good TTT result, they might have problems securing the overall in the following stages. They should definitely hit the second stage hard. I am not sure how e.g. CCC is with TTT, but if they similar to BMC squad, then GvA could have a shot for his second overall here. He doesn't necessarily come in the front group on the second stage, he just needs to finish in shooting distance.

Jesus!!!! Formolo and Gatto crash into a pedestrian who was just casually crossing the street!
It was Majka and Gatto, some idiot just decided to run across the street...Serious crash.

He might not have been aware there was a race on, there might not have been good barriers. He was strolling.
If he was not aware of the race then he should not be there.
