This comment from someone on YT to Horner with which Horner seems to agree:

"Maybe UAE was playing some long-game headgames? Tadej crushes Jonas in Paris-Nice, Primoz makes Tirenno-Adriatico look easy, and now Jonas and Primoz are infighting to see who's going to be number one for the TdF? Maybe UAE think Tadej vs. Primoz is a better matchup for them in the TdF than Jonas vs. Tadej?"

Horner answers with a fist bump.

Would explain UAE helping Primož.

P.S. Primož and Jonas need each other. For being able to win the Tour. So for them infighting is not a realistic option. They will make Pogi choose and after one will work for another. All other scenarios might work but good luck with that.

To me it low key makes sense for UAE thinking that way as it's how UAE themselves functions. Everyone in the team competing against each other instead of with eachother :joycat::joycat::joycat::joycat::joycat:

Maybe someone has already linked this somwhere else but I cannot not link this. I'm laughing myself to tears because whether I agree or not with everything it's still so hilarious. :joycat::joycat::joycat:

Apart from linguistic issues, too numerous to count, he makes some good observations about other teams defending Primoz's jersey, when they should have forced Roglic to work to pull back Vlasov. Although let's say they play the waiting game and lose to Vlasov, then they come home with nothing, stage and GC. Yet their are times when you have to gamble in order to force the race leader to take up the chase and then possibly pounce on him in the end. At any rate, I guess time will tell if Primoz is indeed the "second best rider in the world."

What kinda knucklehead move is this? Hahaha

Wout is doing things like these for selfish reasons. ;) He was training for the classics here, it was obvious. In the Tour he was just showing off how strong he was on that stage. But I think it's understandable. The problem may occour when these actions endanger his team's bigger goals. When the race is still won despite not so perfect tactics, I'm pretty sure nobody from the team tells him "you know what, you shouldn't have pulled that strongly 40km from the finish, you have put our team in a difficult situation by doing that". And it's also more fun this way for us spectators. It would be a shame to not let these phenomenal athletes do their thing. But on the other hand, when it doesn't end well for the teams in questions, then these actions deserve the knucklehead awards from the Horners of this world.

Horner has a few conversations with himself in the mirror, too.
