Monstrous ride from Ganna to take a very dominant win.

Small gaps among GC riders. Arensman was the fastest but I really don't think these explosive climbs are well suited to him. I believe that Del Toro is the strongest rider in the race but Red Bull seems to have the strongest team with several cards to play so it should be really interesting to follow.

Christen isn't a bad back up on these climbs either.
Could be an interesting tactical battle.

Individual pursuit world record holder faster on a 12 minute flat out and back TT than Roglic. Shocker. And Walscheid wasn't far off Pogacar on a similar (but slightly longer) TT last year, on a worse TT bike.

Maybe Tarling, WvA and Pogacar can squeeze in around the 15s mark, but even Ayuso (a gun on short flat TTs) doesn't come inside that. Roglic is maybe like 5s short at most.
I doubt the Jayco TT bike is worse than the Lidl Trek TT bike.

Should be a great battle between Roglic, Del Toro, and Tiberi, with Pellizzari as a dark horse.
UAE isn't here with an extremely strong team, they might not be able to control it like they would do for Pogacar. RBH should play out their numbers, and other teams should also take advantage of trying to go early for it.

Congratulations to Filippo Ganna for smashing the ITT.

As for the rest, i am happy with the performance Rogla has put on. Tomorrow a bit of gravel involved plus the final ramp looks tasty, some punching at play.

Plus Del Toro is not Pogacar. The race should be pretty open.

Kogut missing the time cut was ignored. No mention of it at all.

How does he perform on these type of finishes?
So so..
He did beat Pogacar a few times before and he beat him 2 times at TDF in uphill finishes. His TT got him 2nd behind a dominant Ganna. His history shows that he shows some good moments of climbing, but his TT has always been pretty good.

Arensman is notoriously *** on short, steep climbs like this entire Tirreno has.
His record shows that he is hit or miss on longer climbing also, he has moments of good racing and has twice as many of average.. I would have thought ****(4) instead of 3...lol
