Meh... Is that really so surprising? Schleck the Younger only cares about races in April or July. Nothing else.
Schleck was still hanging on. That's what's surprising.

The big winner is clearly Gesink. All the other main favourites are very close to each other on time.

Congratulations to Rabobank for the stage and the overall victory

Nibali, Evans and Basso may have something to say about that but Gesink is obviously the big favourite.

Damn Rabo. What the hell are they doing this season. Luckily I have this wretched avatar to make me look good.

Now I'm confused.

Did Schleck get dropped or not?!?

He didn't.

So, what exactly happened here? I know, Rabo isn't the worst TTT team ever, but going out first and staying on top until the end... that's not a coincidence, the wind obviously changed during the race.

Did they have a choice when they were to start? Because if they did, that was a clever tactical choice.

Probably slightly to do with the wind but rabobank seem to be working really well as a team this year which is evident in all their wins

Given that parcours was a loop I doubt the wind made much of a difference.

They got screwed in the Giro last year by very local rainfall, so if they profited today, good for them. But given that HTC started second, and didn't beat their time, I think they just did very well. Or do you consider HTC an average TTT team as well.
