This is funny. I talk down Rabobank & Gesinks chances...and then they win the TTT.
Weird.

Still pretty sure the final flat TT will cost Gesink. One of the better TT's will limit the damage enough to strike.

Interestingly, this is also the 1st TTT victory EVER of the Rabobank team (they have been there since 1996).
Really is a season of miracles for them so far.

I wonder how big the fail in April will be.

I was going to ask if they had won a TTT in recent memory.

It is a great start to the season for them.

Leopard sucked so much it wasn't even funny.

Pretty much an ITT from Fabian and they still managed to drop their fifth rider.

their u23 team however has won over the many years about 90% of all they ever participated in.

Enjoy it all, while it lasts.
Rabo are awesome in their early season dominance.
Good to see them derailing the mighty sprinter trains.
However, we all know that BMC are just training until April.
At that time, they will crush all opposition, including Rabo, mercilessly.:D

The rest must have been too busy discussing how to pronounce their name.;)

I was wondering about that, thanks for saving me having to look it up.

It better go downhill in April, as otherwise the Dutchies here might get real kapsones.

Weird it comes now really. You would expect they'd win a small TTT some where in the time they had Menchov or when they had Leipheimer.
Not with Gesink, Boom and Langeveld only

Does that mean Gesinks TT has improved alot? Doubt Boom and Langeveld could carry the team on their own above HTC and Garmin ;o

I though the team had ever so slightly weakened after the winter shuffles and well-earned retirements, but it looks like the yun'ones have come good already. But indeed, these aren't the names with which you would expect to lose your TTT virginity.

Now lets see what happens when the season starts. Or have we all agreed that by now it is on its way?

We'll see by the end of the week won't we.
A short flat TT is the ultimately tortute for Gesink, he NEVER performed in those ones. He never did 1 decent flat prologue below 50th place. So...

There's a lot more to TTTing than just throwing a few good ITTers together. Especially with 8/9 riders. You can get away with a lot more in 2/3/4-ups like we have in this country:D

If that happens hell has frozen over and the end of the world is coming.
Gesink winning a flat short TT is the same as Mauricio Soler winning Paris Roubaix

Don't forget Oscarito, still one of the most talented riders in the bunch. When he's motivated he can put out the watts.
