They don't look like they are going full steam. The gap to the leader is dropping too slowly. I'm sure they will ramp it up in a bit, but for now it's steady tempo until a few more drop off.

EDIT: And as I type that, the gap starts dropping quickly.

I'm afraid nothing can be done against Sky. Henao et al will chase down every move until Froome inevitably rides away. Sad but true I guess.
Anyway, Contador should pull a Cavendish on his team :D
