After yesterdays announcement from Contador, I expect some all or nothing suicide attacks today.

The rain and cold will also be an important factor...let's see who struggles.

Pippo said this Tirreno is way too hard and it doesn't really make sense as a prep race for MSR.

Cunego was first on the climb so he now leads the mountains jersey.

I think sky would have been better off with henao in the break. If it stays away then he wins and they get 1-2. Otherwise the other teams waste themselves pulling him back and when they do he's able to work for froome again.

I mean yeah, he could be Phil Ligget. But he's not great, you are right.

Love how Samuel Dumoulin keeps propping as being in the break, despite not even racing!
Couldn't get enough, eh? Went directly from P-N and into the break...

and also his whole way of saying he has an air of actually thinking he knows so much more about cycling than the viewer, which is bs. he's f'n clueless as well

Cataldo so good. But needs to stay strong as that means only the Colombians left with Froome?
Are Colombians any good on these 'leg breaking' stages?

They have had pretty good results in L-B-L so they should go ok unless someone decides to attack in the next 10km. IMO attacking Sky would be a more fruitful pursuit on a day like today (as opposed to a straightforward MTF).
