szmyd is a better climber than nibali, no doubt. he had to softedal everywhere for him. nibali is no real climber, after 2 consecutive mountain days he always has a bad day, because he isn't a real climber.

What is JRod i wonder? he allways has a bad day. No Szmyd was never as good in the mountains as Nibali was tour 12. If that is not an obvious fact i do not know what is

it's ironic for you to use the term obsession in very imaginable way. compared to your contador obsession I'm almost a colombian-hater I say and if you want to post a pic of todays stages, I didn't know that was your goal, then why always a contador picture?

I used the term obsession because you were attacking me because I'm "obsessed".

Maybe I posted a picture of Alberto, because I saw the picture and thought, "wow he's really ****ed" and thought why not post it

Rodriguez is a very good climber, and way better than Nibali.(Might be biased ofc :D) He just needs a lot of racing to tackle longer climbs. He's always good on short, steep stuff, but in top form he can handle every type of climb. Nibali is a better GT rider though.

Would he have gotten 50 seconds on Froome if this had finished uphill? I don't think so.

Nibali is awesome. Cycling needs more riders like him. Hats off to him.

Can't agree more with this. I don't consider myself to be a fan, but Nibali is one of the most attractive riders in the current peloton.

That is not the point (already conceded that Nibbles is a worse climber) but Ryo uses that Nibali has a couple of bad days as an argument for his lack of climbing skills (or something like that)

He never has a SUPER day in the mountains. That's what characterizes the best climbers, to have one day where they crush everyone on a mountain stage. Nibali's never done that.

Where was Szmyd on Zonc in '11? Nibali showed he was a greater climber than Scarponi and Rujano there.

Rujano already showed to be a far better climbers than Nibbles, don't use that argument anymore please. Scarponi is a somewhat similar rider as Nibali.

Rujano has had one or two good performances since his breakthrough in 2005. Nibali is obviously superior to Rujano in just about everything.

Avatar bet that Nibali will be a better climber in the Giro this year than Rujano?

Better on all stages you mean? I'd like that, IF I can pull out of it before I can at least see Rujano's shape. :D

Once again a bad day makes szmyd a better climber or something? at his best he is just as good as Wiggo, Van den Broeck, Rolland so on and so on.
The only climbers that are clearly better in their top shape are AC, Froome, probably JRod and perhaps Valverde/quintana. No idea how Pinot will do this year.

Agreed. At everyone's best, I'd put Nibs in a rather large 2nd group of guys that are behind AC, Froome, in-form Schleck, and a couple of others.

You can choose between two bets:

Who will place better on the stage to Galibier

Who will gain most time in the mountain-stages

You decide. Avatar until the Tour.
