You can choose between two bets:

Who will place better on the stage to Galibier

Who will gain most time in the mountain-stages

You decide. Avatar until the Tour.

I think not even the most positive fan of Rujano will like this. Sure I'm being a pusy here but Nibali is the better over three weeks, I've already acknowledged that. And Galibier is too far in the race imo.

simply take the following bet. if it doesn't rain/snow at any time in 3 weeks giro, rujano will eat nibali in every mountain

I know the weather's crucial here, but Rujano just isn't avatar bet material, he'll at best beat Nibali once in a stage.

He never has a SUPER day in the mountains. That's what characterizes the best climbers, to have one day where they crush everyone on a mountain stage. Nibali's never done that.

could you please provide some of rodriguez super days in the mountains?

and i am not talking about those days where he wheel sucks every until 1/2 km's from the top and then makes an anaerobic effort to the line, i am talking about those days where he attacks from far out drops every1 or almost every1 and keeps pushing ahead gaining time.

i can only think of one, sestrieres on the 2011 giro and even then contador had to reason to chase and he was minutes down on scarponi who pretty much had just secured his podium place with nibali struggling so people were not too worried about letting him go

i call for a twitter protest to let phinney ride tomorrow!!!!! for those that have twitter ofc, which is not my case

any 90kg rider that pushes himself over this course finishing minutes down on the last group while dozens of riders simply climbed into the car deserves to finish the race.

I'll make it easier for you.
Given that Rujano doesn't get his result from a breakaway, he will not place better than Nibali in any of following stages: 10, 14, 15, 19 and 20 (the MTFs).

If Nibali places better than Rujano on all 5 stages I'll pick an avatar for you between the Giro and Tour. If Rujano just manages to beat Nibali on a single of those stages, you'll pick an avatar for me between the Giro and Tour.

Deal?
