well the rai radio said that kreuziger had returned to the group a long time even before final climb. he also had that flat tire a long time before that. at least 15-20 km I think
He had a second mechanical at the beginning of the climb. That's what you don't know.

Damn work... I miss the greatest stage.

Skyborg collapsed! Now we know their weak point. But unfortunately the TDF doesn't contain stages with 30% walls with steep downhills... :(

Also. Poels in the top 10. That's just ****ing awesome

I also missed this stage, that's my luck.

Yeah the tour has none of this stage and it won't rain for sure...

Nibali was awesome, purito's jump was impressive. Contador wasn't good enough and froome failed :D

Poels was 13th, just outside the top 10. Still a great result though. He is making good progress forward.

Can't wait to see the stage later, it sounded epic.

Acquarone tweets Tirreno-Adriatico stage was too extreme.

He should have stopped the race ;)

@petosagan and @VincenzoNibali shone in a legendary stage. Many of you enjoyed it, but it was too much. We lost the right balance. #Tirreno

Oh well, so much for such a great stage. I guess we're back to Skyborg dominance.

A bit off topic but a thought just hit me. How can Froome possibly win the Tour when Purito will just ride his train all the way to the last Km then jump him. Sky train benefits him more than anyone. No long range attacks or moves to cover.

Pretty depressing to see those comments from Acquarone. If they think 3 hard stages in a row is too much, cut Prate de Tivo, not this.

indeed, pathetic from aquarone and from some riders

phinney has gained a new fan today, i will be cheering for him tomorrow
You can't. He finished out of the time limit.

Indeed. A mountain finish like that doesn't belong in Tirreno. And it provides boring racing in this Sky age.

27/30% - after those tough kms and climbing in that weather no wonder they were going sideways. That's about the limit of what you can actually ride up, pro on a compact or not.

While today's stage was great maybe that is a little bit on the sadistic side.

EDIT and now I see the pic of pro's walking - that is not right (except when 5 abreast on 1.5m wide sunken cobbles lane)

I like him to be able to start as well

By gaining 5 minutes on Purito in time trials?
