will be a very worthy winner of the overall. well done.
Gesink got 8th, lol how did that happen. He was a massive bag of fail on the climb.

And again, a better race in Italy than in France. Chapeau Evans. It was a wonderful win. One of the strongest and surely the smartest today. :)

EVANS!!!!!!

Not punchy my ****!!!!

He didn't though. He timed his cadence and pushed and pushed, when Scarponi + Basso? went off he didn't counter attack. Nor when Visconti charged.

It was a case of brilliant tempo riding.

Excellent stage!

I'm starting to really like Evans, he has it in the bag now. I didn't even notice Gesink. Poels, strong as (almost) always.

And Madrazo... He's officially made it to my list of favourite riders.

Gesinks problem was again the foot of the climb. They go with 90 km/h from the downhill, and then he explodes the first few meters. Nice recuperation at the top. But only when they start the climb at a normal pace, Gesink has a chance at short hills, if they start as fast as today he'll drop back too much

He's still never going to win LBL or the Tour. Which were my words.

Well, how well you do at the foot of the climb isn't as important as the finish. Case in point: Cunego in today's race. Gesink ended up gaining about 5 seconds on him or so.

Cuddles ought to have the GC in the bag.
I wonder if Scarponi would have been caught if Nibali hadn't got on his wheel?

Because he didn't need to counter attack. He saved it for the end :D

Awesome stage

It was funny when Madrazo turned left to see where the peloton was, while at the same time they were passing him by his right. When he realised that, he was like wtf.

It reminds me a lot of last year's TA. Gesink always cracked at the start of the steep stuff (like DT mentioned, the sudden incline at a high pace really hurts him) and recovered near the finish. Could be a chance for podium with the TT.
