before we start speculations: Was Cataldo's ITT today within the OK parameters or just another "marginal improvement"????
IMO it was a helluva ride:eek:

Considering he is the current Italian Time Trial Champion - the short answer is no.

2nd behind Wiggins, who was pretty decent in 2010, won the ITT at the Giro .

A bit of a digression but what does it matter who he lost to and what their achievements are. yeah wiggins was a good tter in 2010. Does that mean if it had been Tony Martin rather than wiggins who won that tt froome would have been an even better tter?

By your logic Thomas Frei is a great tter because he came 2nd to cancellara in the suisse nats.

cancellara in 2012 is not great long distance itt rider. not to be compared to 2010 wiggins

Selective edit, he was between Wiggins and Thomas. I'm not claiming Thomas is as good as Wiggins, but he can time trial well. The time differences also suggest Froome is pretty good.

I'm not even sure why you are arguing this point. Froome has been consistently good at the ITT for the past four years, it is probably the least questionable part of his performance in this race.

Kreuziger only does well in uphill TTs. On every other course he's been crap for years now.
Giro 2011 final TT was actually good GC wise, only Nibali was 8 seconds in front him. TdS 2012 wasn't that bad considering Giro in his legs and extremely hard schedule he absolved until than.
And he actually did very few of them to be fair. Last Astana **** management cut him.

But yes, he is worse than he used to be, I agree with that. But crap isn't right word.

if you hate the clinic so much why dont you grow some balls and confront them there rather than complain and whisper behind their backs?

whiper behind their backs? lol. I often go there to have a good laugh and throw around my arguments there, besides the clinic is changing rapidly in having the idiots like the hog being exposed for what they are. and for arguments explain to me why sky are still doped and de jongh and julich were fired after signing that contract, you honeslty think they would;'ve signed that contract if they were still doping in sky? also hilarious to suggest they only dope froome, wiggins, rogers, david lopez(?), cataldo(?) and porte(?), why not henao, uran, knees, cavendish(last year), boasson hagen? your logic(and most of the clinics) who aren't riding super for their doing at all.

Slightly related, What's the point of wasting time there really tbh ?

It was bad. After all, he's the Italian TT champion, and Malori beat him today ;)

I understand if you didn't know he was the TT champ, after all you can hardly see it on his kit.

Fair enough - as I mentioned- I wanted to be prudent & ask the question first before jumping on nonesense. Thanks folks:)
