Nice for Hesjedal.

So Radioshack gets no stage wins, and a 3rd & 4th in the GC for their 2nd target race of the year against limited opposition.

Nice one Shack.

No, rest day at the Giro tomorrow! I might actually get some work done.

Another Australian winner. What are they putting in those barbecues?

Since we got the tracker up, there has been 1 (one) post about the race.

That says everything there is to say about the race.
Well I've been enjoying watching the stage. I've ridden those roads and know the area. Good stage.

But because of different spellings/orthographies when transliterating from Cyrillic to Latin, that makes it totally fine to spell his name in different ways. In English-speaking countries the convention is 'Yaroslav Popovych', but in, say, a German speaking country, 'Jaroslaw Popowitsch' would be just as acceptable and just as correct.

Hincapie was doing some serious wheelsucking in the closing stages there - shirking turns and gluing himself to back wheels. I like Big George but I was pleased for Ryder to beat him.

One of the most famous examples is probably the composer Пётр Ильич Чайковский/Pëtr Il'ich Chaikovskiy/Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky/Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky.

Kanstantsin Siutsou is a good example. In Dutch we transliterate his name as Kanstantsin Siwtsow, and the Germans turn it into Kanstanzin Siuzou...

I have still no idea how you're actually supposed to pronounce his name.

Well one thing I think we can all agree on is that this AMGEN Tour of California has been great for American cycling. We've seen a week of thrilling racing and the domestic US teams have really shown that they can mix it up with the European super-squads.

Rory Sutherland was basically the only impact the domestic teams had on the race, he got a 2nd place and a 4th place, and seventh overall. And he's not even American!

I thought TT1 were an Aussie team, am I wrong?

Eh, he was there or thereabouts most days, but I wouldn't say he really had an impact on the race.

And Garmin won the Most Important Classification Presented by Lance Armstrong's "The Shack" Cycling Team!

Ben Jacques-Maynes:

Was in the middle of cracking over the top of the climb, lap 1, when a marshal grabbed me, trying to get me off the course. Seriously!?!
