How do you feel those are broad?
The bolded part (which I referred to as "the last part")?

any substance that is injected whether endogenous or exogenous, prohibited under the UCI Anti-Doping Rules (ADR) or not, and to any type of injection
That seems pretty broad to me.

"Any substance"
"Prohibited or not"
"Any type of injection."

Is that not broad in its description, covering a wide base?

I guess it depends what you mean. Yes it's broad but it's wording is precise to make sure there are no work arounds.
Yes, which is precisely what I meant. :)

Far reaching, like a wide net. "Comfortably" able to cover as many bases as possible. Which is good.

I didn't mean to imply any sarcasm, irony or cynicism in my original post. I'll save that tactic for other threads. :D

Singin' the blues...

Bike loving jazz guitarist, 59, handed four-year doping ban by Italian Olympic Committee

No specific substances named in that report. Maybe there's something more in the Italian press?

Related with doping in GFs and master categories, how much does it cost EPO or doping treatments? Because I can´t believe people is wasting lots of money just for cheap trophies to show to his friends.

First of all, there's lots of hard evidence people can easily waste ten grand on some meaningless piece of enchanted ash (carbon) , while 15 kilo steel beauty makes them equaly fit... just to participate in this cheap trophy dispatching event.

the rules have changed. It's now 4 years as a standard ban.

Using a nice neutral and slightly dated estimate.

The cost to the NHS was 117.44 pounds per fortnight. (So roughly $165)

China sourced from over the internet can be cheaper, but no guarantee of quality obviously.

So in the grand scheme of the things, a cycle of EPO leading up to an event is chicken feed to guys who happily shell out thousands on bling wheels.

Cost is not a problem but smuggling it to training locations and races through border controls is.

It's not a controlled substance is it?

In the US and some of the Euros I've raced against the type AAA+ personality can dominate attitude. The quality and, apparently the reality of hard core racing is compromised by these overcoached and overfunded fools. People cheat a little at everything and the worst amateur cases seem convinced everyone does.
That said, I've had beautiful years of competing with great riders that were great people. As Masters racing got more competitive the risks went up with the cost of equipment. When you see a newer Masters racer getting dropped a few laps into a very fast crit, his family/friends at the sidelines; you can see some basis for the insanity.

Virtually any chemical enhancement can be bought over ( and under ) the counter here in Thailand, some chemists will say go and see a hospital doctor, in other words, no... so one just goes to the next chemist .. But, yeah, many of those products, like EPO, steroids and HGH come many from China, or India ( many drugs from there are made under license ) but easily sourced.. I've personally witnessed seeing guys load up shopping bags full of prep at a place in Bangkok..
