Nice one!
We already know who the Yellow Jersey is... :p

Dumoulin believes his chances are very slim on sunday.

Says it's not good that the weather forecast is dry, that dramatically decreases his chances already because the course is already on the light side.
Says in a small group he will probably lose because of his sprint (even in a 4/5 man group). Says he has to escape alone, which on the hill is also not possible because he's not the most explosive and will be marked. So he plans to go at a 'smart' moment. (probably downhill or in between corners). But it will be hard.

Think the chances are less than 1%. Even in this form. Not his course. Not any dutch guys course I think.

Time for Prudhomme to forget about Bardet and co. and put some decent TT kilometers in Le Tour. The dawg slayer is walking among us, give him the weapon to save humanity.

 yes, please.

Amen, amen. I can't adequately express my revulsion at UK Postal and the stick insect. High time for both to get their deserved comeuppance, and Tommy is the man to do it.

Boom? Poels?

It seems he even tried in the final kilometesr when the camera's where gone.

He said he had really good legs but the race wasn't hard enough. And he probably attacked at the wrong moments as well. He is actually dissappointed he didn't win.
What a guy

Well he didn't win a single one-day race in his career and he was hoping to win today? Better concentrate on GTs, he has a bright future there.

I prefer to see most GT riders in WC's and LBL/Lombardia instead of just the stage races. The best riders should also try to win one-day races.

He'll ride Tre Valle Varesine, Milano - Torino and Giro di Lombardia.

Hope he still has the killer legs for the last one. Should be fun. Even though it's near impossible for him to win a one day classic, since he seems to lack explositivity compared to the specialists and needs to finish alone. After his 4th in San Sebastian I feel Lombardia is his best chance.

Having seen his wins in Cumbre del Sol or Oropa or his 4th in San Sebastian coming back from a rest period I think he can keep up with the best uphill if he has good legs. His main limitation is his sprint but he'll have a chance if he finds himself alone at the front with someone like Landa.

No chance, they already communicated Barguil will be the team leader for these races. :D

Yes Dumoulin needs to go to Lombardia to win. 6 best cyclists in the world all winning one of the 6 biggest one day races
It would certainly be the 'strongest' Monument/WRR year for a while. However suggesting these are the 6 best cyclists in the world is a bit of a stretch.

Well it's not far off. Although Nibali still definitely belongs in the top 5 cyclists in the world.

They said the same for San Sebastian and it didn't ring true. You can count on Tom to be co-leader/free

Generous to give Barguil even partial leadership after his stunts in the Vuelta.

Add the 3 GTs and you have Dumoulin and Froome on the list. And then it's clearly at least 7 of the top 10. Cue much debate about who the other 3 are (probably out of Martin, Contador, Porte, Matthews, Nibali, per current UCI rankings and common sense that says Quintana, 12th, and Kristoff, 13th, would not consider themselves to have had a better 2017 than Nibali who's currently ranked 14th).
