Tony announced his race programm.
I have to say i am a little bit sad that it is the same as in the last two years.
I hoped he would go back to doing the Tour de Suisse and maybe the Tour of California.
Anayway.

I wonder why he does not do some of the classics considering his size and strength ?

He's rather unexplosive, maybe he could try Roubaix but of course OPQS don't really need him there. The Ardennes weren't a success for him.

Ok that's true.
Not really a major change , though;)

yes, no major change, but it will be interesting to see if he can fight for the overall victory (in case the stages are the same as last year)

He's also the only rider in history to have done the Paris-Nice Beijing double ;)

Freire won Tirreno and Peta was second, Cancellara, Bettini and Dekker also won.

This Tirreno of 2013 will never be won by Tony. That's my point.

He may win other editions but he'll never beat this field. What has he proven against these guys?

Heck, he already lost time against the likes of henao in the algerve.

not on this years route which is what BR is suggesting martin will do

He's riding P-N, so I'm not even talking about what BR tries to come up with.

I could see him win it in the future and Miburo was talking in general, not for this year.

I was talking about this year, not in general. I thought that was obvious.

This discussion was going on in T-A 2013 thread a few hours ago.

But thinking you can win against Contador/Froome and Evans on a stage race which isn't suited for him is ridiculous.

He is a very good cyclist who should be respected for how good he is in his discipline and he does have a good palmares in stage races (even if they are boring- except for ToB last year)

Is there a better way to sit on a TT bike?
Tony's position is simply perfect this season.
