Since it was his first time riding the race it looks like he could be one for the future

Injuries and TT riders don't usually dominate in that discipline for a long time, he's still pulling out good results but maybe a change of environment might also help him spark up a little.

His knee seems to be in a really bad condition. He should take things easy now and try to rebuild for the next season.

I've been a little out of touch lately but did I miss something? I don't remember any hints about this move. He's been a great team player, but maybe he'll be able to kick start his own results with the move.

Alpecin coming on board as a sponsor meant that Katusha was looking for a name German rider and Martin really was the only one left on the market, I remember reading somewhere a couple of weeks back that they were interested in him
