I don't like your definition of current. As stated on the other thread, my definition would be whom, right now, you'd pick to ride on your team. You wouldn't have Vino, for sure!

Based on my definition, I'd go with...

1. Gilbert
2. Contador
3. Cavendish
4. Cancellara
5. Evans
6. Martin
7. Wiggins
8. Schleck
9. EBH
10. Rodriguez

*Alberto Contador*(ESP)
*Philippe Gilbert*(BEL)
*Cadel Evans*(AUS)
*Joaquim Rodríguez*(ESP)
*Samuel Sánchez*(ESP)
*Robert Gesink*(NED)
*Andy Schleck*(LUX)
*Edvald Boasson Hagen*(NOR)
*Fränk Schleck*(LUX)
*Vincenzo Nibali*(ITA)

Peter Sagan defo in top 10 imo.

Also Scarponi > Nibali for now imo.

The list will change on January 1st 2012;)

Till then

1. Alberto Contador
2. Fabian Cancellara
3. Philippe Gilbert
4. Cadel Evans
5. Mark Cavendish
6. Andy Schleck
7. Samuel Sanchez
8. Michelle Scarponi
9. Peter Sagan
10 Tony Martin

Edit: oh if its not just this year then Cancellara above Gilbert.

Dont see much wrong with your list for this year.

Too inconsistent in about everything he does. Just my opinion though, feel free to add him to yours :)
And yet Froome is the 10th best of the year? Seriously?

By the way, if there's one thing Purito has, that's consistency. He just lacks a truly big victory, but he's nearly always up there.

I changed him with Sagan(who I forgot about :p).

And what big win? He was nowhere at LBL, Giro or Vuelta(he did win 2 stages, but was just terribly inconsistent in the real mountains). I don't call that nearly. But rate him as high as you want, I just won't :)

Tour riders
Contador
Evans

Sprinter
Cavendish

Hilly classics
Gilbert

Cobbles
Cancellara

Time trialist
Martin

Significant Others (trying to cover as many bases as possible)
Boassen Hagen (can win small sprints, breakaways, TTs and is young)
Wiggins (TTs, tours, week long races (and he's a brit!!)
Sagan (young and talented, can win in a number of ways)
Rodriguez (punchy climber, good for classics, tour stages and possible podiums/wins)

Admittely in my list over 3 years it's really close between Cancellara and Gilbert, but I gave the latter the edge because he's good all season long while Cancellara just cares about the spring classics(bar the Ardennes), Tour(Mostly time trials sadly and as a domestisque) and Worlds.

Umm that is kind of all season;)

Observe how Cancellaras diet consists of minor long hillyish classic - MSR, Cobbled hilly classics, pure cobbled classics, then Time Trials/ mountains if TDS is easy enough, then domestiquing on mountains - July, then pure hills - World Road race.

Im sure he wouldnt have these off periods if he was doing just hills hills and hills;)
