After RVV PR double I was thinking that it was close between Cancellara and Contador, and before the Geelong road race I thought that if Cancellara did something good there he would become better than Contador.

This year Albert has created a gap between the 2.

a)Stage wins are worthless imo no matter if flat or MTF or TT, the point of a stage race is to be win at the end. b)Whoever wins the Tour is King.

There’s a lot of different rankings which would easily determine the best riders over the last three years (seriously, if you want to do this – check the CQ), so I would like to use the different approach. As Maya Angelou once said (i’ve found this quote several years ago by chance and since that i like it very much): “I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” My ranking is not about results only but also about the spirit of the champion which the rider can have or have not regardless of his results.

1. Fabian Cancellara
2. Alberto Contador
3. Philippe Gilbert
4. Cadel Evans
5. Alexandre Vinokourov
6. Mark Cavendish
7. Tom Boonen
8. Bradley Wiggins
9. Michele Scarponi
10. Alejandro Valverde

In fact I was thinking about the other #1 but felt a sudden desire to enrol myself in the very honourable list as “either an ignorant fool, brainless, a stupid hater or someone who has spent the entire past three years with the Hutus in Africa/somewhere in the desert in Mongolia.”. Yep, it’s all about me ;)

And yet you pick Cancellara as your first guy? No offence to him, but his interviews are borderline stupid and that's something that's hard to forget :D

If i would have taken interviews into account i guess i wouldn't have known whom to pick :D when it's going to an interview they're all silly.

Being quite partial to Contador myself I can say that you're quite annoying. In my book he's the best rider in the world (by quite a margin) but if, say, you're a big fan of classics, and not so much of GTs, I can imagine you'd think otherwise.

Yes, but I think that everyone with common sense can see he's the best. Maybe not this year, but definitely of the last three, four years. Again, that is my opinion. And I'm sorry for being annoying because I'm just a tiny bit biased.:rolleyes:

I'm a big fan of classics(more so then GTs), but that would only work if there was someone who won 2 Monuments each season. Or the WC and a Monument.

If you rate a GT as equal to the two :eek: monuments (how pathetic :eek::D) then no way you're a big fan of classics ;)

Only the Tour.

I don't rate the Vuelta at all. Giro is still bigger than a Monument though. Though winning all the Ardennes classics in one season is more impressive than a Giro win(unless you do the Trifecta or something).
