Admittedly Schleck does a lot to exacerbate the dislike aimed towards him, so making up excuses is just stupid. All riders get injured and to be truthful Schleck isnt injured as much as many others

Yeah, just look at Christian Vandevelde... guy breaks something/crashes out of a Grand Tour on a yearly basis... and he stays classy about it. I would be #$%^ing mad if every year that happened to me... but VDV just has kinda accepted it
