The weather has indeed been Californian because usually, at this time of the year, the second stage is much more interesting. This Tour of Belgium needs 2 queen stages though: one on the flemish cobbled hills and one on the hills in the Ardennes...

2 fun stages, a time trial and 2 sprints where wind can play a big role and this would be one of the better stage races around.
