um, suddenly looking good for klodi. but he may not have a team left :p

Think i saw two RS in the front group, one right at the back. Then a lot in a first chasing group, then a bigger second group behind.

Wiggins will probably focus on the track once he recovers from this, it's getting to be time for Olympic training.

Somebody made a crack several pages ago about Cancellara considering a protest b/c the roads were too flat and dangerously straight. Turns out that may have been a good idea.

This is why I hate flat stages in the Tour

Always falls, always half of the GC contenders eliminated.

Gesink, Cavendish, Basso, Schlecks, Conatador, Evans, Sanchez, Thor, VDB all sighted in peloton, which has shrunk heaps. All GC teams now up front (not just LT).

Tough luck Brad (and others) :(

According to the race graphic he is 3.19 behind the front group.

That Really needs explanation, after what happened last year?

Get over it man, seriously. They have been at the front keeping Andy and Frank out of trouble for the whole Tour so far, that's all they're doing.

Gutted for Wiggins :(

Who's Sky's main man now? Uran?

Reckon they're going to go for Thomas in the mountains and focus more on Boasson Hagen now.

What's with so many crashes involving GC contenders this first week? Now Wiggins is out. Horner apparently got back on his bike but is well behind, so even if he manages to stay in, he'll likely lose significant time. So that's one GC guy out of the TdF completely and another likely to lose so much time that he's effectively out of the running.

Vino and Leipheimer missed the split in the peloton that the crash caused though maybe they'll catch back up.

Terrible. I hate to see the race so immensely impacted by these crashes. At this rate what should be a great TdF is going to be a farce. :( The winner is the guy who doesn't crash out or lose big time from another @#$#@ crash.

Sad for Wiggins. Perhaps now Sky need to throw their weight behind Uran or anyone who can climb a bit.

EDIT: discussed above.

No but there's a history with Cancellara and Schleck inthose kind of situations!!
There is a long history in the CN forum, not so much on the road.

Pity the Sky mechanic who has to change the yellow mood lights to black and then clean all the bikes.

Not a fan of Wigans, but I never like to see a rider have to abandon because of injury.
