He said now that he can't ride for the white jersey he can focus all his efforts on supporting him.

hmmm...
I hope there is no conflict between them.
A healthy Cadel should still be stronger than TJVG.
But Cadel said he was going to be leader for 2013 tour a while back after 2012 tour.
And then after that he will pass the leadership to TJVG.
He is still very young.

Tony never ever would have a chance for GC, I don't get why you still complain so much about the route.

I don't give a **** about Tony concerning this.
I love the Tour, at least i used too. But this pathetic **** for the 100th edition is a slap in the face. Of course all you knew jkids love it. But if you appreicate the history of the Tour it's a ****ing disgrace.

So in short:
4 MTF's with Ax-Ventoux-Alpe-Semnoz, that's good
2 Mountain stages with final descent, good although not the hardest stages.
1 flat TT, 1 kind of MTT and a short TTT, something for everyone and in total not too much km.
For the climbers and gc-men I would say that's nicely balanced.

However that leaves 12 stages. Ajaccio and Gap will be hilly enough to prevent a bunch sprint but apart from those 2 I can't see some steep hill finishes or tricky finales with some climbing to prevent a bunch sprint. So is there really the possibility that Cav can win 10 stages?
I really hope they make some small adjustments otherwise there will be a lot of boring days.

Errr why can't he? Is he not 24 at the moment and subsequently under 26 in July 2013?

Historic failure considering this is the 100th edition.

let me guess. . . too many mountains too little time trialing?

imo the time trialing is just fine (first one could be longer) what i don't like is the lack of proper mountain stages. . . flat stages until A3D and ventoux and pretty flat until la semmoz.

Quite poor giving the expectation.

3 TT are good but each one should be 5 km longer imo.

So much flat stage and barely any tricky stage

Ditto, I couldn't stand him winning a race like the Giro.:p

Im amazed at how some of these professionals speak and how poorly it reflects on the sport.

Surely you take every opportunity to promote the event.

Firstly, Froome saying the route is not as hard as he expected and secondly Wiggins saying he was more interested in the Giro.

This route is a lack of anything.

First week is one single borefest
Pathetic TTes, ridiclously short
No classic stage types what so ever
Pyrenees are a disgrace for the 100th edition.
220 km flat run into Ventoux:rolleyes:
Far too many short stages, far to less really long ones
No mountain stage to get really excited about
So many super flat stages. If at least some of them had a decent length as a triubute to the past
No Vogeses
No Massif central
....
