Sky apparently have a change of kit for today's stage, with yellow trim instead of blue. I thought that was not allowed, cf the Armstrong 28 million people kit from (?) 2009.

Yeah it shouldn't be allowed. That's **** up.

Sky will just do it and wear the fines - like they have done for illegal feeds in the past. Penalty should be 2 minutes for each member of the team!!

What will they do if its raining - take the GC times at the first crossing of the finish line, or will they make Froome sweat it out?

Edit - seeing all the crashes in the Women's race makes me think they might do the former, though I prefer the latter - race to the end.

Last time there was heavy rain was in 2005 and they neutralised it as soon as they crossed the finish line for the first time. I wouldn't be surprised if it's the same thing today.

Oh, oh... that doesnt look good for you Sasquatch or me, in hope Mollema slips down to 8th or 9th (only a matter of 25 respectively 46 seconds).
Such splits easily happened before at champs stages...
There was still (even though tiny) hope for a small change in the final T-20. Too bad the nitpickers decide a race isnt a race.

the rules say that with a wet champs elysees the times will be taken off the first passage. So nothing will happen

You can race on rainy cobbles in the first week but too exciting for the final day is it? Don't want anything interesting to happen now do we.

Anyway, it would perfectly sum up this year's race if it ended on a whimper, so it's probably fitting. If they don't want anyone to watch, their choice I suppose.

Yup... and Bottle was under the impression that his 5th place on GC was assured as he thought no time bonuses would be awarded at the finish line. Someone had other ideas...

So to clarify, every rider will be given the same time as the first finisher today, no matter what?

As far as I can see, it's not been decided yet, as the rules merely open up the possibility of time differences being registered upon the first crossing of the finish line. They'll still race all 10 laps.

No, its the times when they cross the finish line the first time, so if Quintana attacks from the gun and crosses the line on the first lap with a 2 minute lead he wins

Les champs under the rain is like ice skating. That would be more russian roulette than racing.

Yeah I think they'll take GC times the first time that they cross the finish. In which case we may see this again:
