Anybody with predictions for which 5 riders there'll be at the end for BMC, SKY, Tinkoff, Astana and Moviestar?

It would be hilarious to see Froome blow up his team mates on the last climb :D
Will try :)

Astana:
Nibali, Westra, Grivko, Kangert,Taaramae, (Fuglie)
Saxo:
Contador, Kreuziger, Sagan, Rogers, Majka, (Benna)
Sky:
Froome, Thomas, Poels, Kennaugh, Konig, (Porte)
Movistar:
Quintana, Valverde, Malori, Castroviejo, Izaguirre, (Dowsett)

the 6th guy could finish with them or will drop on the last hill

Astana would rather be: Nibali, Westra, Birdsong, Kangert, Taaramae. Grivko hasn't been all that great this year, and he will e used with Grudzev to destroy the first flat part, and let the more climbing strong part of the team do the rest. Scarponi is porbably the only somewhat useless part of that team, and even he isn't too shaby in a tt
True, he didnt do well in that opening tt, otoh I think that Fuglsang is on a bad form, so thats why I think he will drop on that hill, its probably a bit bold, but we'll see :D

Team Time Trials are different beast from individual tests. Quite a few sprinters have been REAL TTT powerhorses as they can generate a lot of watts for short-term pull AND recuperate quickly. ITT is about steady performance and endurance over a long period. TTT is much more about short-term power and fast recovery.

F ex Hushovd was one of best TTT-men in the world while never a top-notch time triallist individually.

This. And bit forgotten.

But Hushovd was also a good ITT'er, being under-23 wold champion. He, like many others, just did not focus on it. But as you say, he was a very good TTT'er. Being just a youngster, he was given much of the credit for Credit Agricoles win of the TTT in tdf 2001.

Any predictions for LottoNL? They had the strongest collective performance in the opening ITT but Kelderman and Ten Dam are injured now.
Still, with Gesink (11th), Van Emden (5th), Kruijswijk (5th in long giro ITT) and guys like Vanmarcke they should do better then they did in the Dauphine

I think they will be top 5 today. But it depends on how well Kelderman and Ten Dam feels. It could be a disaster too if those guys can't keep up because of their injuries. I'll stay positive though, Ten Dam is a tough guy and well…Keldermerckx is Keldermerckx! ;)

Sky also hasn't impressed me, with the exception of Froome - and even he did fairly poorly in the opening TT.

Agreed, G apart. Poels looks like he's being saved for the mountains, but I'd say Sky were short of numbers around Froome on stages 2,3,4,6(maybe) and 8. Rowe and Stannard were disappointing on the cobbles in particular.

It'll certainly liven the race up if Sky put in a poor performance today.

A top 5 is possible, the problem is that wilco seems to be weak because of the crashes, however Kruisjwijk and even ten dam did ok yesterday. The others are all strong, van emden, vanmarcke, martens and leezer are in good shape I think.

Aside from all the predictions and guesswork, anybody have the correct starting order??
The team classification in reverse order, with Sky, as they have the yellow jersey, as last team to start. First team starts at 3pm local time, with five minute intervals.

IN 82 they did a 69km TTT in the morning and had a second stage in the afternoon in Plumelec. In 2015, oh well, what a pussy race this has become :( :( :(

What race are you watching ?
G has been there right to the end when other leaders have no one (except last KM of stage 8). And Roche has been there everyday till about 5KM to go and was there before each cobbles stage for positioning.
I agree Stannard does not look in top form & Kennaugh/Rowe's inexpereince shows but Froome has been better sheperded than most even Astana & Movistar.

Its true Porte, Konig & Poels have been kept in reserve for the mountains so should be a benefit today as fresh (and in next weeks)

Did you guys not watch the Giro TTT? Tinkoff almost won, Sky was ****. Tinkoff's tour team is much better on paper, they appear to be in much better form, Sagan seems to be in the form of his life and is very loyal to Contador. This TTT is much harder and more selective. It will be an upset if Tinkoff do not win this stage.

I have good news for you! Bookmakers are offering Tinkoff at 15. You are going to make a lot of money!

I mentioned yesterday that some bookies had them at 25. Tinkoff way underrated as a TTT team. 25/1 great value esp for an e/w

A few days ago they were $41. :D

Paddy Power for the Euros/Sportsbet for the Aussies have had the stage market up all week and Tinkoff was as high as $41. Sky and Astana were $15 and $17 all up until Martin crashed out.

TJVG-Oss-Dennis-GVA-Sammy

Sagan-Contador-Bennati-Kreuziger-Rogers.

Really think these are the two 5 man units that can make the difference on the hill in the end.
The hill will be really important, BMC lost their world title in 2012 because one guy couldn't follow on the Cauberg
