The Giro was not very difficult this year.
Dumoulin is not a great climber and he won, it's not a coincidence.

The Giro was pretty damn hard this year. Everyone was on their knees during the last week.

I dont like so many flat stages...maybe is to put more in difficult climbers in a Tour with so little ITT, but is boring and more with Kittel supremacy. Just with a climb close to the end or something similar would me much more interesting. Anyway maybe becuose I am spanish and they are close to Spain, and I know Pau quite well, I expect something interesenting about today stage.

Sound more exciting than today's stage.
Even the commentators (in my country) are complaining about the course and they thought that even ASO would realize how boring this is. However, I don't think Prudhomme has the ability to realize this is a borefest. He is probably still counting the money paid by the start and finish cities...

Totally agree. Too many flat stages. Reminds me of the year's of Cipollini in his pomp who was at least more of a showman than Kittel. They put in more flat to keep Sagan out of green but with Sagan, Cav & Demare all out you get a stage like yesterday which was one of the dullest I can remember. And virtually no chance for the breaks to stay away either!

Well, I think there's potential in this kind of stages and a healthy reason behind their selection, but the circumstances just aren't favourable.

Only four wins this season so far. He had 8 at this point last year, and 11 at this point in 2015. So yes, it's kind of hard to avoid coming to that conclusion.

Quickstep obviously don't need any help to control the soft breaks we've had on the flat stages of this race. So it isn't changing anything and costs nothing by helping. On the plus side it shows willing and shows some confidence in your sprinter - even if you have none.

Kittel looking the strongest sprinter by a mile and yet Katusha and Lotto are working on the front of the peloton. Mind boggling how they keep repeating the same tactics day in day out.
