Do they have gates for (some of) the hundred-meters markers? Bit hard to see with the closeups of the riders.

I just realized..basically Froome won all his time in the opening ITT.. so atypical for him. No time won at all uphill

Take out the ITT and he's third.

Froome and Landa to finish 1-2 hand in hand with Froome promising to ride for Landa next year

never gonna happen, sky won't ride for a non-britan, as long as a brittish rider has the chance to win.

I think Sky would ride for a non-Brit given the right circumstances, but if Froome takes his 4th win this year, he has got to go for #5 next year to equalise the all-time-greats (in that statistic at least).

Yep, just watched the women's and they do indeed.

Aah, okay. Guess that says something about how slow they expect them to go up.

He won some in the uphill finish at Rodez.

Froome came into this tour undercooked so he would be good for the vuelta. He's finishing the tour fresher than usual

and as long as Sky exist, a british rider will always have a chance to win

agreed

Yep, snooze fest with 5 white jerseys riding tempo, no need to attack, unless Froome wants to win a stage, just to show who's their daddy..

I have zero expectations from this stage.

Apparently Froome has already been declared the stage winner.

Would have been great if someone closer to the lead would have sneaked in there. Feillu is the best I think.

With all the descents, it's been a good route to prevent Froome from blowing everyone away. Of course, if he actually isn't in top form then the opposite could be true. I suspect we'll never know and Froome won't lose or gain much time today.

A bit surprised that Barguil isn't there.

Barguil is in such a fantastic shape that I think he will try to climb Izoard with the favorites, maybe looking to improve his GC position (all his other objectives have been fulfilled already).

Break is so large it would be difficult to tell which was the break and which was the peleton if not for the Sky train choo-ing

Sky should just give em 15 minutes unless froome is feeling superhuman, too many teammates in the break

Even if the break gets 25 minutes, the Astana, Cannondale, AG2R riders don't need to stay with it. The earlier Sky catch those teammates the less use they can be for Aru, Uran, Bardet. Rowe and Knees should go as hard as they can for as long as they can.
