Some guys says that Cav could win... do you realize that he is in the Tour , just because his team forced him to be in it. He is still recovering from the decease and it's far away from his best form. I don't know why Greipel is not a favourite and have 9/1 odds to win. If it's a typical sprint finish he has every chance. Yes , Kittel is in superb form and he have great team around him , but in the final sprint , everything comes to good positioning. I think that betting few pounds on Greipel is worth trying.

This stage is criminal
It's almost like having a Giro sprint stage finishing in Cortina d'Ampezzo.
Anyway, Scheldemerckx ftw.

The last time a stage en ligne ended in Liège they went over Haute-Levée - Rosier - Reid - Mont-Theux and Forges. 10 categorized climbs that day. :D

And the peloton was blown to pieces that day, with Indurain taking almost a minute on his "opponents".

The one day someone was such an *** he actually managed to annoy the stone faced Indurain.
Bruyneel was truly not an ordinary individual.

was that the day before the TT as well? bizarre show of strength when everyone was probably expecting him to save his energy the next day.

There will be a moderate headwind in the finale.
I think Kittel will come on top,QS has on paper the best sprint train in the race,Greipel and Groenewegen should be good in these conditions.

QS certainly has a good train, but there are actually some very good trains among the teams:

FDJ: Konovalovas, Delage, Cimolai, Guarnieri
LottoNL: Roosen, Martens, Leezer, Wagner
DD: Cummings, Hagen, Eisel, Renshaw

Wow, great racing, thanks for posting.
The wobbly camera and flimsy steel bikes makes them look so much faster than today's riders.

If Froome did something like this, his thread in the other forum would add another 20 pages immediately.

It will happen after stage 5...

There was only one correct tip for stage 1 that I saw:

I don't plan on watching, the race already feels like its over before its properly begun yet. Saddening.

I know how you're feel. I felt the same after a week Giro '14, when Purito crashed out in that crazy stage to Monte Cassino (despite the fact deep in my heart i knew he wouldn't be in top shape after his crash and problems in the Amstel).

But after a couple of days, my cycling heart was able to overcome my 'fanboy' heart, as i was curious to see if Nairo was able to overcome his health issues to win that Giro, if Uran could hold on onto his lead ....

There's still so much at stake. Is Contador able to stay on his bike in the first week? And will he form an alliance with Nairo in trying to break Froome? Can Porte justify his new status as Tour-favorite? Will Aru be able to shed the race in the mountains? And can Bardet cope with the French pressure of being the only Tour-hope?

Believe me, you will tune in again after a couple of days ;)

However, today's stage sucks. But it's a stage which would suck in every race really :D

There was a point in my life when I was feeling like that almost every 2nd race.
