I'm not complaining on today's stage... Mineral water at the start and finish (some symbolism there), Schengen, Franco - German melange, industry, water management, solar parks... Plenty to get familiar with.

Uneventful as this is, it would be hilarious if the Wanty guy manages to stay away by some miracle, an incident at a rail crossing or something, landslide maybe.

There is a nasty looking pinch point in Vittel where they go under a train bridge, positioning looks pretty crucial here

Cofidis in the front of the bunch. I can imagine Bouhanni's rage if Demare takes the win and the green jersey in Nacer's hometown :D ...

It's nice that the Giro selects stages for the full length coverage
