Froome is among top 3 descenders if you count only GC contenders. He is not the one who should be worried. Quintana, Porte, Contador, et al could be screwed if Froome and Bardet decide to push it on descent

On a rainy, technical descent Froome ain't got nothing to offer IMHO!

Don't expect a lot of action but certainly it will be visible who is in good shape on pen and pen-penultimate climb

Poor climbers and descenders will be exposed today, but this is as it should be. A stage to cull the weakest

It was. But it still showed that Froome is better technically when going down descent. He seems to be better bike handler overall. And that skill only gets magnified by rain. Just looked at the prologue. Rain hardly slowed him down.
IMHO other than Bardet, he will put significant time into all other GC contenders if he is the first one or in a first small group over the top

Froome didn't kill anybody on the descent, it looked spectacular but the outcome was zero. He caught Aru who had a 10 sec advantage and at the bottom he was in group with Richie, Birdsong and that same Aru.

If it wasn't for Birdsong, Porte would have dropped on that descent and catching Aru downhill is impressive to say the least

The final myth to be debunked: Froome's skills in the rain. He got away with Bardet and Nibali last year in the wet, before catching the white line, but I certainly expect him to get away again today
