Shirley they should be attacking to drop Knees and Rowe...
Yes, they should eliminate Sky's heavyweights before Colombiere.

You mean physically because I see no other way?
How about upping the pace?

You can't assume Sky are super strong and unassailable just because they're riding at the front, as the leader's team is wont to do, while the pace is slow and almost everybody is still in that group.

Who can up the pace?

Surely Astana or BMC can send a man to the front to up the pace. You only want to kill Rowe and Knees to get Sky's better Doms riding earlier, if they don't have the riders to do that, they might as might well pack up now

Upping the pace means you have to go to the front with a few men who hopefully can go so strong with 112k before the finish and two other HC climbs that they can shed the likes of Nieve, Landa or Henao and still have enough in the tank to protect their leader.

I think we all need to take solace in the fact that the more leeway the break has, the greater the chance of bananito in yellow :D

This forum would melt.

All kidding aside, they really shouldn't give Bananito that much leeway...He seems to be in amazing form right now, all things considered.
