This. I know it's part of cycling, but it still sucks. Bike handling can only do so much in helping you not get caught behind due to crashes, punctures etc. Nairo should have done all he could to get within 3km though, but the way the rule is applied I don't really like. It should be more flexible.
 
Isnt 3km to go reserved for if you have a crash not a technical problem? Or maybe I was thinking of something else. It is strange that regardless he would stop so immediately and not just slowly roll on at least.
