That was a great final km by Dan Martin, I didn't think he would hold that gap.
Latour giving Ag2r some headache for leadership?
But Latour is already 3.5 minutes down... so unless Bardet is just in awful shape and continues to bleed time he should still be the leader. But they should keep Latour close and give him freedom to go for stages.

Valverde didnt have the best of legs. His sprint was pretty meh despite winning in the group, he didn't have what it took to beat Martin today I think.

Dumoulin now one second behind Froome.

Landa shown finishing with top contenders but did not see him.

Am I the only one not seeing anything out of the ordinary in the riders using cars to make their way back?

Maybe I wasn't paying attention but it looked pretty status quo from both Sunweb and Astana
You’re "not allowed" to sit in the slipstream of cars in the caravan, but as long as you’re making progress toward rejoining the pack, the officials will let a rider draft behind cars along the way. I think its also a rule that you can follow other team cars but you cant follow your own teams car at least not for very long.

I'm happy I missed the stage. I would have thrown something at the TV if I saw Dumoulin flat.

*** Tour.
oh well, bonus gone, all reset at zero again

How was that meh? He obliterated them completely in a headwind sprint.

He should just have gone with Dan Martin, that shouldn't be too hard to have realised.

I always thought there was a clear distinction between drafting through the cars on your way back to the peloton (commissaires turn blind eye) and following your own team car for a significant period of time, which is detached from the rest of the train (blatant cheating).

Dumoulin did the latter, and probably saved 10-20 seconds as a result.

How much time Froome lost?
Few seconds

Froome lets Thomas worry about seconds
He's probably thinking about minutes himself
He’s going to pull out aNother Chiappucci-like attack . What an amazing rider he is
