Am I the only one happy they are neutralizing it? I mean this could be the only GT ridden this year. I don't want half the contenders out by stage 1.
I am perfectly happy to see stage 1 neutralized. I hope they don’t/don’t have to consider it in the final week when jerseys are on the line.

Not a fan of abandoning all need for bike handling skills in the sport.

Sure sometimes it may be necessary, but it's starting to happen more and more

Next up were abandoning descents, etc.

"I see Richard Porte there, laughing on the front of the peleton. Lets see if he's laughing after the race"

You know what annoys me, I know this descent is dangerous at all, but let's be real, once they hit the end of the deacsnt they'll suddenly forget that they care about safety and immediately go back to drilling it and the crashes will start again

I hardly think the riders deciding to self neutralize one short section of one stage of one race is abandoning all need for bike handling skills in the sport. Especially when bike handling skills may have absolutely nothing to do with whether you go down or not.

Im all for the slowdown but if T.Martin decides that everyone limits to 30kph max then its should apply to Porte, Ewan and the rest.

Where do we stand on disc brakes after today? Alaphilippe, Ewan, Lopez all having sketchy moments on wet descents.

As I type, a JV rider on a rim Bianchi goes down on the neutralized descent. Bennett.
