WVA started his sprint (into a headwind) too early - still very strong though, especially considering he was babysitting Roglic most of the finale. Ewan timed it perfectly again.

Let's wait until another Jakobsen happens, then forget all about it again.
In fact it was the opposite though. Kind of. He got boxed in at the barrier and made place for himself. But still could lead to a crash in the middle of the road, of course.

Eurosport doing the same. Called it a good shoulder barge
I mean, it wasn't as bad as closing the door when someone is coming from behind, but trying to create space when there isn't enough otherwise is a bit reckless and can lead to crashes. I don't think it was that bad, but not exactly the cleanest sprint that I've seen.

Sagan may well have won that if he hadn't got himself stuck behind WVA which I suspect is why the bump was a bit on the aggressive side although looking at a replay he may have been hitting the barriers if he didn't make space

Superb show of respect from Bennet and Ewan on the line, love to see that
No, he would simply just have to stay behind if there wasn't any space.

It is up to UCI and officials to be consistent, to get rid of things like this. The riders getting in to their backbone to not do that. And riders being penalized for it.

In this case, I think it is more of your dislike for one rider talking. Than anything else.
Yeah I think everyone can attest to my extreme dislike for Sagan.

Wait what? You were calling for a Bennett DQ the other day, and you'd penalize this equally?

Christ, this is a hundred times worse.

Throwing him out of the race would for sure be setting an example. But then I hope they stand on that and continue doing that going forward in other cases. My trust level on that happening is not that high.

Disqualify Sagan already. Never appreciated the guy's mentality towards colleagues.
Would've loved seeing Van Aert's result without the bodycheck, or with a slightly later timing.
