You know... it's really really confusing to look at the green jersey and it's not Sagan...
Then you would have two riders that know how to stay upright and no crash. If 16 Sagan sprints vs 20 Sagan here you can pick up the broken bones from the tarmac.
Shoulder against shoulder, yes, but this wasn't that at all. Just way too dangerous.Think that was fair from Sagan you see shoulder barges in the peloton all the time
He was fading into the headwind regardless, the bodycheck didn't cost him the win. Even if Sagan probably deserves a penalty.Disqualify Sagan already. Never appreciated the guy's mentality towards colleagues.
Would've loved seeing Van Aert's result without the bodycheck, or with a slightly later timing.
Not hated, as much as polarizing? He’s bound to be one of the most talked about riders in the race, as he’s been the most successful (at what he does) over the past decade. And the way he rides is bound to provoke strong feelings. Why is he so hated one of the most exciting riders in the peloton?
Yeah Van Aert can blame sprinting for twice as long as long as he should haveHe was fading into the headwind regardless, the bodycheck didn't cost him the win. Even if Sagan probably deserves a penalty.
Throwing him out of the race would for sure be setting an example. But then I hope they stand on that and continue doing that going forward in other cases. My trust level on that happening is not that high.
The bias towards Sagan from commentators is hilarious at this pointChristian Vande Velde saying Sagan didn't push WVA off his line as footage shows Sagan clearly massively pushing WVA off his line. Realizes in real time and pivots to: "I'm more concerned about how he continued to affect his line to the finish." Glad you got there, Christian.
Let's not use what was considered normal a long time ago as the standard for what's acceptable. What other cases? Let's not pretend this was ever considered 'normal' sprinting behaviour.
It is kind of difficult to tell you exactly what future cases there will be. The point is just that the jury lines have to be consistent. What other cases? Let's not pretend this was ever or is considered 'normal' sprinting behaviour.
Sagan still hasn't learned anything. What a terrible rider who doesn't give a damn about others.
