Was Roglic even breathing through his mouth? Incredible performance. And Pogacar, well he looks like the only one who can stop him at the minute. But we all know how it is a three week race not two weeks.

Yes, I saw it on replay. But seemed well within himself.

Whoa what a GC battle we had today, actually a lot more than expected. And it was Pogacar who again instigated it, great young man!

Was an exciting final km between Martinez and Kamna but honestly this is why I don't like breakaway wins on big mountain days.

We went from a 50 man peloton riding tempo to carnage and riders all over the place and didn't see how it happened. As someone mentioned above, would it really be so hard to split screen and watch both the break and the gc guys?

Think he was just completely cooked to be honest, don’t think Ineos would have tried to ride so hard earlier on if he felt really bad.

Bernal was at his limit. But that was a hard frickin' stage! Pogacar is a real monster to ride that without support, although he and Roglic seemed to have a bit of a truce about 1 km from the summit.

I'm gutted for Bardet. I was really hoping he'd stay close.

Porte riding with the fire inside, and Landa is looking frisky again.

If I can't have Bardet or Martin, my dream podium is Pogacar, Landa and Porte right now, mostly b/c I want Landa to live up to his very real talents and for Porte to go out with a bang.

Great stage, action up and down the road at the end.

At least just show the bunch every couple minutes instead of keeping on in the dark of what really matters. I would rather just watch the GC all the time when they actually race hard (I dont really care about breaks usually, its good entertainment when there isnt much happening though), but I know Im kinda extreme in that sense.

Exactly, this is Bernal territory and we dont talk seconds on that stage, but minutes. If not for that stage, no chance, but he's still alive.
It's not like Bernal normally sucks at 1500m. It's more like selection bias as all 3 Alpine stages were super high last year and he was good in the 3rd week. The Tourmalet finished at 2100m last year and Bernal got dropped. Then he was clearly better the next day when the finish was like 1500m. In any on the shorter stage races has won, Bernal has consistently performed on mountain stages at lower altitude. Now suddenly he gets dropped like a stone.

Nah, I know, but its high altitude and and the same time by far the hardest MTF of the race in the 3rd week. If he cant drop Roglic there, obviously he stand no chance at all, but I think he can
