Weekend of heartbreaks.Let's hope that Pogacar wins it at the end - another Ineos Tour win would be the last thing cycling needs and Roglic' tactics haven't exactly made him more likeable.

It doesn't get much better than that from the first kilometre to the last. Hirschi was screwed over by Pogacar's aggression on the ascent and then Bardet having no legs to bring the GC guys together on the descent (which would have handed victory to Hirschi).

I never even saw Bardet at the front of the descent at any point, which seems a bit surprising and may cost him any chance of a top 5 finish in Paris.

Wow, heartbreak for Hirschi but wow! This stage has been hard from the start and Hirschi was in the lead for so so long. Roglic in yellow; himself, Bernal, Pogacar and Panda look the strongest. Not a climb that particularly suits Quintana though, so he won't be too disappointed to lose some seconds.

Roglic is the man to beat at this Tour, but beat him they might. Pogacar and Bernal will be difficult opponents, as will Quintana if he shows up in the third week. Landismo in the third week? I'm still not so sure about Bernal having a mythical third week, but we'll wait and see.

After a boring start to the Tour, these last three days have been superb - some of the best we've seen on the Tour in recent years.

Wasn’t a direct call on the exact stage winner but the overall sentiment of cycling currently yawn. Only a dud would think Pogacar isn’t an attacking cyclist. The complete lack of effort from GC guys on stage like today. Contador or Froome would have won by a minute

I honestly question if we have been watching the same race.

I think all the GC riders pushed to the limit today, and many lost time on GC.

Great stage!
Pogacar is so strong and Bernal really woke to life. Landa is finally free (but who am I kidding, if there is wind on tuesday he is finished). Quintana and Uran a bit weaker today, but not a big time loss. If this was their "bad day", everything is still in play for them.
