Thanks!
It's not like he rode super hard in that break either. We'll see if Martin can hang in there tomorrow. Tall order.
I like that Martin at least trying something. Maybe Enric Mas or Lutsenko could put UAE more under pressure today. Even if probably would not work.
He realized he was near the front too much and faded back into the second group...............former ninjas shaking their heads.....Meintjes is doubling the amount of screentime he's gotten through his whole career here
I remember when he won his previous Tour stage in (2017?) afterwards he said “this is great because I get to tell my kid I won a race.” He’s won a fair few more since then now that he’s not going for gc any more.Yup, definitely the worst rider if you are others to let go solo.
Because this is what he does best. Just ride at a high steady pace.
But hats off to Mollema. He has won some great stages and races like this.
I would really like if Martin could hang on to podium place. I mean what was this? Jumbo, Ineos, EF all had the firepower to chase but choose not to.
I doubt they fully 'allowed' it as opposed to Mollema just being strong. It's embarrassing to allow Mollema to attack on the descent and get one minute - This should not happen.
