What a weird tour for Ala.

The organisers teed him up for success which he got, but he immediately became inconsequential and has only been randomly active in hopeless endeavours ever since

Yeah... PL himself said Ala races too crazy (but that he's not mad at him). So the team doesn't have him under control apparently. ;) Looks like they just told him "go do your thing", apart from the first stage there doesn't seem to be a plan from either him or the team for him.

This has been an annoyance for us Alaf-fans. He had great shape after Suisse, which he left early. Then immediately took yellow and proceeded to waste energy in doomed breaks. He did some good work for Cav but other than that, zilch. It's a shame because there were a couple of stages that were perfect for him if he had been fully recovered.
