Just because it had some hilly bits? Dumoulin was a TT specialist at the time and pushed him close.

Any TT where Aru comes 3rd is not for the specialists.

And to be fair, Dumoulin finished 4th in the Vuelta the year before and won the Arcalis stage that Tour.

Hatch and Smith need to understand that Bjerg vs Walscheid and Bissegger vs Walscheid are not directly comparable because Bissegger has done less of the course
