Choosing "difficult" roads is what makes for a good race.

The Tour would become incredibly boring, if everything was on highways.

That said, this was in no way difficult, 5-6 riders wide the whole time, is plenty of room for Pro riders.
You're implying today was a good race?

Thank you for some well reasoned thought...the road was plenty wide...guys here acting like it was single track!

Thomas and Roglič hit the ground two days before the tt.
Everyone familiar with the recovery will tell you it's the second day after the injury that's the worst.

Most years have big early crashes dude.

It's the nature of the worlds biggest race, with the worlds best riders - they all want it a little to much early on.

I know, just feeling like it's the worse everytime it happens. Two biggest favorites, green jersey favorites, all went down in 3rd stage after horrible 1st stage are not really what you expect everytime though.

Dont agree with Eisel that roads are the problem or that organizer should plan it better.

I don’t want riders on motorways…

If anything is it necessary for all the GC guys to be up there with all the sprinters?

Teams and riders need to rethink how they race these finals. They are causing a lot of stress and intense racing that then causes the crashes. There are too many riders up there.
