Who are they worried about?

Even if I doubt he's a real threat, you'd be pretty dumb to gift WVA a big chunk of time at this stage - who knows how long he can hang on if the team rides for him.

Similarly while he's almost certainly not a threat it would be stupid to gift Nibali a route back into the race. It's just an extra complication to have someone who could cause problems in otherwise calmer areas within a threatening distance, particularly when your team is not the strongest.

Nibali to win the Tour with "fuga bidone". Well technically it wouldn't be called like that by definition, because it went away by force. But yeah... 10 min advantage for Lo Squalo would be nice.

UAE are in the market for riders to support Pog but it seems like they are looking for climbers

They need very strong roulers and a good road captain as he wont lose in the mountains but he can lose on a day like today or in cross winds

They need a whole new team. I wrote about how lack of support was the only real danger for Pogi

I'm not sure they even will unless UAE sit up.

Best bet for everyone else is that UAE kill themselves here and that later in the race they are too dead to help Pogi during a bad day / mechanical / other racing incident
