To be fair he isn't necessarily all that wrong about that - it's just that Tadej is strong enough to make it totally irrelevant.

Think that is the point. He's so good you don't have to worry about mechanical as much, especially when minutes ahead.

Idea that he was forced to attack because team wasn't there when he used his team to set up attack didn't make much sense. He wanted to test everyone. He found out nobody is near him. Now race is over and he can be conservative.

But even if he had an issue today, it wouldn't have him impacted his ability to win race.

So next year we need to have Tour with short climbs and *** loads of wet descents to get it more equal. There's your challenge ASO!
Don't we have a Basque start coming up year after next? That will have lots of short climbs and wet descents even if they do what I expect them to do and avoid all of the best Basque climbs - even on the major roads there are a bunch of ramps and repechos.

Expected a dominant performance at some point, this was way beyond my expectations. Crazy stuff.

Wonder about the time cut now...

It's fair to say the only one in the race who could match Pogačar in the mountains is injured.
Time trialing is a different story.

Carsten Migels on german eurosport with a hint of innuendo, saying we wont understand how a 22yo can do this. He phrased it quite well I think
