Most impressive solo performance I’ve seen in the mountains. Granted Roglic is out but Carapaz is by most sensible people thought of as least top 5 climbers in the world when in shape. Guys like Uran and Mas aren’t nobodies either. Insane ride by Lutsenko!!!

Oh yea, Pogacar was here as well

froome also crashed out. after beating contador in both the opening TT and first MTF of the dauphine.

and then there is the unfortunate fact that nibali already had close on 3 minutes on contador when contador crashed out...

contador had dropped nobody. you are making silly fan-crazy statements.

Froome and Contador matched up in 5 races in 2014; Contador beat Froome in 4 of them and they both crashed out in the 5th.

Ineos imploding. Two days in a row Carapaz works hard for no gain. Thomas gone and Porte losing more time. They will have one leader next year ........Bernal. Still with Pogacar riding like a Badger/Cannibal hybrid what hope did he have ?

Biggest gap to nearest GC competitors in a single stage since?

Ras 2007 stage 8 was pretty massive IIRC, most weren't considering him a contender at that point though, although according to Dekker he had been telling people he was in tour winning form for ages.

You're right. But performance > drivetrain longevity.
It also just feels "better" to ride big ring imo.
To me it feels wrong to ride with a crappy chain alignment.
I also lack the strength to ride in the big ring on certain gradients.
