Granon stage - 149 km
Huez stage - 166 km
Peyragudes stage - 130 km
Hautacam stage - 143 km
And those are supposed to be the five hardest! That's less than 150 km on average.

The only thing good about this route is the use of Granon and the combo Aubisque - Spandelles - Hautacam. And a couple of halfway descent uphill finishes, especially the one to Longwy. Otherwise this looks completely unimaginative and almost solely designed for action the last 5 kms on most stages.

And will they again be using the short and very steep ramp to Peyradgudes? Like in 2017:

The Huez stage and that's pretty much it.

Only early climb is Galbier from Briancon but that's not really early and lots of flat false early on plus the profile of the Megeve stage is missing.

Seems like Alpe d'Huez is the only stage with over 4000 meters of climbing. Maybe there is some internal cap at ASO for those stages

I think PDBF is contracted to appear very often up tp 2026 or something like that if I remember correctly

Don't forget that it's the riders who make the races, so unless BlueRoads kidnaps all of them when they come close to Germany, it could still become an interesting race.

Use of the mountains and have to use them is unavoidable, but the ITT on Stage 20 and SPBDF!Completely avoidable.

The route is so stale that no first-time French stage host appears before Stage 19.

Which is why 1 2nd cat is purely there for the social media pictures.
