That last climb is a leg breaker.

Most assume (I do) that Pog jumps in the last kilometers and takes some seconds from V.

But what if after Pog jumps and can't shake the V, the V goes for it and takes another minute from Pog? It is possible.

This final climb suits Pogi down to the ground, I can see him taking some seconds. Like Contador in 2010 on this climb.

Biggest gap I've seen between contenders in Mende is like 50s between Froome and the Gesink group in 2015.

I think the most likely scenario is Pogacar trying and Vingegaard following and then Vingegaard not countering.

From GC perspective this stage will likely give us a taste of what is to come. But likely more from a prestigious point of view. Not the decisive stage just yet. Roglič is injured hence he likely can't help Jonas on the last hill. Maybe time to get himself in a position and try to win a stage.

Pogi has 2 options today . Either to try and take a handful of seconds on the last climb or try to do a " Fuente De " . The terrain is there for an ambush in my opinion .
