At this point I think the plan is to try keep a lid on it until the climb finishes and regroup on the easier terrain. Just take no risks by controlling the front and then hope to park it

Just don't think they want to risk potentially strong allies for Pog being up the road if they can avoid it. Vlasov and Pog would ride together while an average break is unlikely to do any work for Pog if he was to keep trying to escape.

Most of Jumbo wasn't near the front at the start of the climb and then the gaps opened in front of them, it seems.
