I'm not sure Van Aert will have a lot of energy and motivation for the mountains now, and maybe Vingegaard will miss that. We've seen that before - Van Aert putting a massive effort into the flat and semi flat stages and not being able to support his captains later on.

I'm not saying it's wrong - the Belgian has done so well. But the traditional yellow jersey teams didn't give their riders quite as much freedom.
The sooner they catch WvA, the more chance WvA has to keep yellow and compete for the win.
The later they catch him, the more chance they catch him after the finish.

But logic dictates that he will get caught before the last 10K.
